Your memories, handled with care.

Who runs Tonzo

Tonzo is operated by Tonzo London. For questions about your information or help deleting it, contact ashley.li@heytonzo.com.

What we keep and why

We store your email, saved memories, message drafts and preferences to provide and maintain Tonzo. Your email is used for sign-in and reminders you choose. We also keep usage counts to enforce service limits.

Tonzo does not sell your personal data, use it for targeted advertising, or use your notes and recordings to train AI models. Notes may include information about other people; share only what you need for reconnecting and avoid sensitive or confidential details.

Services that process your information

Vercel hosts Tonzo, Supabase handles accounts and saved data, and Resend delivers sign-in links and reminders. When AI features are enabled, AssemblyAI and its model providers process the content needed for transcription and suggestions. These services may process information outside the UK and have their own retention practices.

Your memories are not public or accessible through other users’ accounts. Tonzo’s operator has administrative access to maintain the service and handle support and deletion requests.

Voice notes and AI

Recording starts only when you choose it. Choosing to transcribe sends your recording to AssemblyAI. Requesting an AI suggestion sends the relevant memory through AssemblyAI’s language model gateway. Review suggestions before using them; they can be inaccurate.

We are confirming our providers’ training opt-out and AI-request retention settings before enabling these features. We do not currently promise zero storage or zero retention by those providers. You can read AssemblyAI’s data handling information.

How long information is kept

Saved memories are kept during the pilot and for up to one month after it ends, unless you delete them earlier. You can request earlier account deletion using the contact address above or the account deletion control.

Tonzo requests deletion of provider transcripts after processing and retries outstanding cleanup through a daily task. Errors or service outages can delay cleanup. Provider-managed audio, operational logs and backups may follow separate retention schedules; deleting a memory does not mean every provider copy disappears immediately.

Your controls

You choose whether to send a message. Tonzo never sends it to your contact for you. You can stop reminders, delete a memory or delete your account. A reminder already being sent may still arrive after you stop it.
